The Baseball Federation of Kenya (BFK) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japan Baseball and Softball (J-ABS) Foundation on 15th July 2022 and the Ministry of Sports Headquarters in Nairobi. The ceremony was followed by a 2 day extensive Baseballership seminar for the coaches from across the country. This cooperation agreement will see the two organizations cooperate in training of coaches, acquisition of equipment, exchange programme for elite baseball players and development of facilities. The cooperation will also see Kenya start the Kenya-Koshien baseball championship inspired by the Japan Koshein championship model. the coaches training. BFK is grateful to J-ABS for extending the support to Kenya. J-ABS is doing a similar cooperation agreement with Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania and South Sudan.
